Spring in The New Forest
Spring is the perfect time to visit the New Forest. Watch the forest come back to life as the spring months progress. See local foals, sooo cute!! It is recommended to keep your distance. Step out of our cattle grid into the National Park, see local ponies, donkeys and cows (deer if you’re lucky) enjoy all aspects of the National Park’s Spring magic
Enjoy fresh clean air.
Pack your walking boots and embark on one of the many walking trails. Whether you just fancy a stroll around the local area or around the towns and villages there’s lots of walking to enjoy. Local to us are some great long distance walks which take you into open heathland countryside with views for miles - you’ll hardly see a soul .. have the whole place to yourselves! You will love seeing the fresh shades of greens the sounds of nature, the animals and the views - the perfect antidote to modern busy day life.
Hire a bike or bring yours and wind your way along some of the off-road cycling routes. There’s a great ride across from us to The Royal Oak in Fritham - a teeny tiny pub! There are a number of other pubs to cycle to too - just lose yourselves in the vast beauty, take some photos and stop for a picnic or pub. We can recommend lots of ideas.
